About

  • I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in San Francisco with a therapeutic focus on gender and sexuality, early trauma, and family and relationship dynamics.

My approach is empathic, warm, and thoughtful, and is informed by a psychodynamic perspective. This means I am curious about the ways in which early experiences affect current relationships, beliefs, and identities. I consider the unconscious as we explore intergenerational and individual patterns. I have specialized training working with adolescents, young adults, and families. As a white clinician, I take an anti-racist stance in my work and attend to the ways in which systems of power may be present in the clinical material as well as the therapeutic relationship. I have extensive training in trauma-informed therapy. I also utilize somatic interventions, motivational interviewing, and cognitive behavioral therapy.

I’m transgender and nonbinary, a parent, and live in San Francisco with my family. I am particularly dedicated to providing services to fellow members of queer communities. I received my MSW from Smith College School for Social Work, where I researched multidisciplinary needs of gender expansive youth in the Bay Area. I received my BA from Middlebury College, where I studied psychology, sociology, and gender studies.

In addition to psychotherapy services, I have provided trainings at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland, UC Berkeley School of Social Welfare, and local non-profits serving youth and families. My training topics include gender-affirming care in clinical social work and Structural Competency.

In my personal time, I enjoy biking, reading and writing poetry, and exploring the city’s many parks with my kid.
